I remember my mother traveling to fashion shows with her own designs. I traveled with her to many shows and would stick close by her side and take in every fashion concept and idea I could. I would learn how colors and textures danced. I would discover that there were no rules for how something made one feel. This is where I became accustomed to exploring more with concepts and ideas of my own.
I developed a love for the home and sacred spaces as a very young girl. As the seasons would change so would my room palate. When winter would draw near, I would begin to settle into moodier greens and colors that surrounded me with safety and rest. Just as spring would near, I would begin displaying pastels and flowers around my room. I would change my quilts and throw pillows to match the new energy of spring. I loved to mix scents together to create new ones and I loved to mix fabrics.
As I grew and had a family of my own, I began to make quilts and curtains to put on display to change the flow with the changing of the seasons. This turned into creating new rooms and looks for our friends and family.
